Brick School

The Brick School at 1019 Merrow Road will open for the 2008 season on May 18th with a May Day celebration. Come make a May Basket, dance around a maypole, hear stories and play games. 1-4 PM, reservations are recommended. Call Ginney Dilk at 742-9656.

Strong-Porter Museum Opening
Strong-Porter Museum opens for the season with a new schedule: Sunday's from 12:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. Come see our new exhibits: "Then & Now, Coventry Farms", and "Remembering the '38 Hurricane".

Clean out your closets and garage, it's tag sale time!

The Coventry Historical Society is holding a tag sale on Sunday, June 1^st from 9 to 3 at the Strong Porter Museum on South Street. For $20.00 you can rent a space. Bring your own tables. It's also opening day at the Coventry Farmers Market at Hale Homestead, so in your free moments you can walk up to the market and take in their opening day activities. Tag Sale will be held rain or shine. For more information, call Pat Natusch at 742-7474.

Sundae on a Sunday- Our 5th annual sundae celebration of Father's Day at the Brick School on Merrow Rd. 1-4 PM. Fathers are free, all other sundaes $1 each.

Farm Day 2008 - The Society will be holding it's 3rd annual Farm Day from Noon to 4:00 P.M. This day will feature farm history exhibits with a 1940's theme. $5 per person, $20 per immediate family.

What better way to get in our twice annual Membership Meeting than a good old-fashioned BBQ at the Strong-Porter Museum? The Agenda will consist primarily of eating, chatting and fun. Membership Meetings are always free. If you are not a member but would like to attend, the cost is $10 for a Single Membership and $15 for a Family Membership. Membership Applications can be found on this site under Membership. RSVP to Roberlie 742-1012.
